About me
As a full-stack Geospatial Developer, Sam collaborates with clients and development teams to produce GIS systems and the connective tissues that link them. He is proficient in database administration, manipulation, and automation using Spatial SQL dialects, python, and batch scripting. He has also developed RESTful APIs using Flask and geospatial dashboards using Django, and has built web mapping applications with geospatial Javascript APIs. He has multifold experience with raster analysis, leveraging open source tools like Google Earth Engine, rasterio, and geopandas for automating manual and supervised raster classification, and he enjoys working with point-cloud data in QGIS. Sam is also familiar with the ArcGIS Ecosystem, having configured utility asset management systems using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, linking their components with data pipelines hosted in ArcGIS Notebooks and built with the ArcGIS API for Python and ESRI’s spatial data frame model.
