About me
I currently serve as the West Coast Regional Geospatial Coordinator for NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management. In this role, I facilitate and extend regional outreach, collaboration, and technical assistance to federal, state, local, and tribal partners in all aspects of geospatial data for coastal management on the West Coast. I inform the development of NOAA Digital Coast data and tools to meet the West Coast region's unique needs.
In past work, I’ve used Landsat imagery to develop maximum likelihood land cover classifications to identify land use change in tropical protected areas and used existing land cover data to model large carnivore movement through increasingly urbanized landscapes in southern Costa Rica. I enjoy using spatial analysis to elucidate complex environmental problems and communicate results clearly to diverse groups of stakeholders and partners.
