I will describe the development of an interactive web map of Greater Seattle that presents the prevalence of non-English languages by neighborhood. The primary purpose of the application is to educate people about the distribution of non-English speakers, but many other uses could include allocating culturally-specific academic resources to school districts, or helping the city cater their services towards different language groups.
